Descrizione:Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin that is important in bone metabolism. It is a basic protein that can be converted to its active form, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25-(OH)2D3), by the liver. Vitamin D3 has been shown to have anti-proliferative effects in HL-60 cells and to inhibit the growth of mycobacterium tuberculosis in mice. Vitamin D3 also has an effect on blood pressure and may be beneficial for patients with chronic bowel disease.
