Yohimbine hydrochloride is a chemical compound that is classified as an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor antagonist. It has been shown to have high potency in vivo and in vitro for the α-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. Yohimbine hydrochloride has been used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction and hypertension, with efficacy demonstrated in human serum, papillary muscle, locomotor activity, and dopamine release experiments.
