Zinc sulfate monohydrate is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water. It is used as a nutrient supplement, such as in the form of zinc sulfate. The compound is also used to prepare zinc citrate, which can be used as a buffer or reaction solution. Zinc sulfate monohydrate reacts with other compounds to produce zinc salts and water vapor.
