Descrizione:2-Hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde (2HMOBA) is a biochemical that has shown anti-cancer effects in vitro. It is a ligation agent that reacts with trifluoroacetic acid to form the corresponding amide derivatives. 2HMOBA has been used in the synthesis of diagnostic agents and synthetic peptides, as well as being involved in the synthesis of proteins. This compound also inhibits protein synthesis by targeting ribosomes and blocking the formation of peptidyl transferase, which catalyzes the formation of peptide bonds between amino acids. 2HMOBA has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on tumor cells when combined with other drugs such as cisplatin or doxorubicin.
