Descrizione

Kahweol is a diterpene that is found in coffee beans. It has been shown to induce the enzyme polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and potent inducers of bowel disease. Kahweol has been shown to inhibit the angiogenic process by suppressing protein kinase C and MAPK pathways, which are two signaling pathways that regulate cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. This compound also has significant cytotoxicity against cancer cells. Kahweol has been found to be a natural compound with anti-cancer potential and can be used as an anti-cancer agent. The mechanism of action for kahweol may be due to its ability to inhibit oxidative injury through chlorogenic acids.
