Phoyunnanin C is a natural product that belongs to the group of secondary metabolites. It has been isolated from the plant, Phyllanthus emblica. This compound has been found to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. The analytical purity of this compound has been determined by high performance liquid chromatography with UV detection at 289 nm. The reference material was purified by preparative HPLC using an octadecyl silica column with gradient elution of acetonitrile in water (containing 0.1% formic acid) and methanol containing 0.1% formic acid.
