Descrizione:
1H-Indole-5-carbohydrazide is an analytical reagent that can be used for qualitative detection of aureus. It reacts with the active site of α-amylase, inhibiting its activity and reducing the production of glucose from starch. 1H-Indole-5-carbohydrazide also inhibits the growth of candida albicans and Candida tropicalis. The inhibitory effect on candida is due to inhibition of α-amylase, which helps in maintaining a high level of indole-5-carboxylic acid in the organism. 1H-Indole-5-carbohydrazide has shown antimicrobial activity against bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis through inhibition of α amylase and α amyloglucosidase.
