Carpipramine-d10 dihydrochloride is a prodrug that undergoes asymmetric synthesis by reacting a hydroxyl group with a metal chloride. The product is then reacted with an anhydrous sodium carbonate solution, which produces caripramine-d10 dihydrochloride.
