Descrizione:1-Cyclohexyl-1-pentanol is a butylated aliphatic alcohol. It has been shown to inhibit the production of nitric oxide, prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase enzymes. 1-Cyclohexyl-1-pentanol can also be used as a chiral solvent in mass spectrometric analysis and spectrometric methods. The compound is synthesized by reaction with lithium amides in alcohols. Prochiral molecules are converted into chiral molecules through this process.
