Descrizione:1,2-Dimethylquinazolin-4(1H)-one is a chloride compound that reacts with methyl anthranilate to form the corresponding quinazolinones. The quinazolinones are a type of dicarbonyl and an anti-tumor agent that can be used in the treatment of cancer. 1,2-Dimethylquinazolin-4(1H)-one has been shown to inhibit the growth of certain cancer cells by inhibiting the synthesis of nucleic acid molecules and dicarbonyl. It also inhibits DNA replication and protein synthesis. 1,2-Dimethylquinazolin-4(1H)-one has been shown to interfere with the function of chloride channels in animal cells by binding to the chloride ion receptor site on the channel protein. This results in a slow reaction rate and an increase in immobilization.
