DSM265 is a novel triazolopyrimidine that inhibits the transcription and replication of RNA. It has shown to be effective against a variety of infectious diseases, such as hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), and cytomegalovirus (CMV). DSM265 has also been found to have therapeutic potential in autoimmune diseases by inhibiting the activation of T cells. This drug was developed for patients with mitochondrial DNA polymerase deficiency, a rare genetic disorder that causes various symptoms, including deafness, liver disease, and neurological problems.
