Descrizione:Pirlindole is a reversible inhibitor of cholinesterase that is used for the treatment of infectious diseases. Pirlindole is an acetylcholine esterase inhibitor and has been shown to inhibit growth factor-induced cell proliferation in human cancer cells. It has also been shown to have antiviral activity against certain viruses such as herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, vesicular stomatitis virus, reovirus type 3, and influenza A virus. Pirlindole has also been found to have anti-inflammatory properties because it inhibits prostaglandin synthesis.
