• Descrizione: Avitinib is a small molecule that disrupts the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signalling pathway. It inhibits EGFR by binding to the ATP-binding site, preventing phosphorylation and activation of downstream effector molecules, leading to cell death. Avitinib has shown promising anticancer activity in preclinical studies as well as immunomodulatory effects in animal models. The matrix effect of Avitinib is due to its hydrogen bond interactions with other organic compounds. Avitinib has been shown to be reactive with benzimidazole compounds, which have been implicated in causing cancer cell death. In vitro experiments have shown that avitinib induces apoptosis in rat liver microsomes and erlotinib treatment leads to increased toxicity profiles.
