Descrizione:5β-Dutasteride is a research tool that belongs to the class of ligands. Its binding site is the Androgen Receptor (AR) and it is an antagonist. The binding of 5β-dutasteride to AR prevents the interaction with cofactors, such as 3-alpha hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase and 17,20 lyase, which are required for the synthesis of testosterone. This compound was also shown to inhibit ion channels by blocking potassium currents.
