Descrizione:Methotrexate-D3 is a water-soluble form of Methotrexate that is used for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This drug is administered intravitreally and eliminated from the body through renal excretion. The bioanalytical method for the determination of methotrexate-D3 has been validated, and it was found to be a specific analytical tool with a high degree of accuracy. Methotrexate-D3 has also been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria in plasma samples by reacting with disinfectants such as acetonitrile, peroxide, and quaternary ammonium salts. Occupational exposure to this drug could result in adverse reactions due to its oxidation products. Reaction monitoring techniques have been developed for this purpose.
