• Descrizione: 7-bromo-3-nitroquinolin-4-amine is a quinolone inhibitor. It has selective inhibitory effects against the enzyme prostaglandin H synthase (prostaglandin endoperoxide synthase, or cyclooxygenase) 1 (COX-1). 7-Bromo-3-nitroquinolin-4-amine is a structural analog of imidazoquinoline and has high selectivity for COX1 inhibition. The drug also inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2, which is important in inflammation and pain. 7-Bromo-3-nitroquinolin-4-amine has been shown to be an inhibitor of microsomal prostaglandin synthesis in vitro.
