Descrizione:3,4-Bis(2-methoxyethoxy)benzoic acid ethyl ester is a compound that has been shown to have bactericidal activity against Gram-positive bacteria. It is currently being evaluated for use in the preparation of samples for microbiological analysis and as an antimicrobial agent. 3,4-Bis(2-methoxyethoxy)benzoic acid ethyl ester has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vitro and may be useful in the treatment of cancers. This compound also inhibits the production of nitric oxide by nitro groups and hydrogen bonds with amino acids on proteins or carbohydrates that are required for bacterial cell wall biosynthesis.
