Descrizione

Peridinin is a natural product of the marine dinoflagellate Peridinium. It is a mixture of three molecules, peridinin-chlorophyll a, b, and c. It has been used in HPLC standards and as a reference material for analytical purposes. Peridinin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. Research on peridinin has led to the discovery of a number of other bioactive compounds with potential pharmaceutical applications.
