It is a white solid that is insoluble in water and has a molecular weight of 168.13. 2-[2-(4-Dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepin-11-yl-1-piperazinyl)ethoxy]ethanol N-oxide has been shown to be effective against the development of cholesterol gallstones and can be used as a prophylactic agent against cardiovascular disease.
