Descrizione:2-tert-Butoxypyridine is a tertiary amine that is produced by the catalytic conversion of pyridine with trifluoride and diethyl etherate. It can be used to synthesize macrocycles, which are compounds that have at least two rings of carbon atoms. 2-tert-Butoxypyridine reacts with halides in the presence of base to form carboxylic acids. It also reacts with diethyl etherate and amines to form cyclic amines, such as piperidine. 2-tert-Butoxypyridine has been used for the synthesis of pyridines.
