Insulin lispro contains a recombinant DNA molecule with a sequence identical to human insulin, and contains the same amino acid sequence as human insulin. The two-way crossover study was conducted on patients with diabetic neuropathy and showed an improved efficacy of oral hypoglycemic agents. The long-term efficacy of insulin lispro was demonstrated in a study that lasted for one year.
