• Descrizione: 15(S)-HETE-d8 is an activated form of 15-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (15(S)-HETE) produced by the enzyme 15-lipoxygenase. It is a member of the eicosanoid class of fatty acids and has been shown to be involved in tissue inflammation, adipose tissue, and regulation of prostaglandin production. The 15(S)-HETE-d8 profile has been shown to be resistant to the efflux transporter P-glycoprotein, which may be due to its hydrophobic properties. This compound has also been shown to inhibit toll-like receptor 4 signaling and induce IL-10 release from macrophages in a dose dependent manner.
