• Descrizione: CDK8-IN-2 is a potent and selective CDK inhibitor. The compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of leukemia cells in vitro, and has been shown to be active against cancer cells in vivo. CDK8-IN-2 was found to inhibit protein synthesis by blocking the phosphorylation of p27, a protein that regulates cell proliferation. CDK8-IN-2 also showed an anti-leukemic activity and could be a potential drug target for treating cancer. Studies have shown that CDK8-IN-2 is well tolerated with no toxic effects observed in laboratory mice or rats.CDK8-IN-2 was found to be safe and well tolerated in healthy human volunteers with no dose limiting toxicities observed at doses up to 150 mg/day.
