4-Hydroxy-3,5-bis(isopropyl)benzaldehyde is a synthetic chemical that is insoluble in water. It has been used as a starting material for the synthesis of other compounds and it can be synthesized from chloroform, acetone and ethanolamine. This compound has been shown to inhibit tyrosine kinase activity and may be useful in the treatment of diseases associated with this enzyme, such as cancer. 4-Hydroxy-3,5-bis(isopropyl)benzaldehyde has also been used as an intermediate for the synthesis of morpholino oligomers.
