Descrizione:Methyl 7-oxoheptanoate is a synthetic anticancer agent that inhibits cell growth. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cells and induce apoptosis in HL-60 human leukemia cells. Methyl 7-oxoheptanoate is converted to methyl heptanoate by the enzyme enantiopure, which is then hydrolyzed into diacid and cyclopentenone. The cyclopentenones are synthesized from the diacid and cyclopentenone and are used as pharmaceuticals.
