• Descrizione: The present invention is a novel method for the synthesis of diethyl 2,5-dioxahexanedioate. The cycle starts with the reaction of 1,3-cyclohexanedione and triethoxysilane to produce the intermediate 1-triethoxysilyl-3-cyclohexanedione. This intermediate undergoes a thermally induced cyclization to form 3,6-dioxahexanedione. The 3,6-dioxahexanedione is then heated in an electron beam to produce diethyl 2,5-dioxahexanedioate.
