6-Nitroquinolin-5-amine is a quinoline derivative that is extracted from an acetate extract. The biological properties of this compound have been studied in liver cells, with a molecular modeling study showing that it has a linear shape and is potent inducers of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). 6-Nitroquinolin-5-amine has also been shown to be a potent inducer of population growth in typhimurium. This molecule may be used for the treatment of cancer or as an antiobiotic. It also shows potential use as an antiviral agent against HIV.
