Azaconazole is a prothioconazole that belongs to the class of synthetic fungicides. It is a white crystalline powder that has fungicidal properties. Azaconazole also shows antifungal activity and can be used for the treatment of infections caused by dermatophytes and yeast. The matrix effect of azaconazole is due to its ability to disrupt the fungal cell wall, leading to cell death. This drug can be used in the synthesis of polymeric matrices using ethylene diamine as a cross-linker, which are then mixed with tebuconazole or ft-ir spectroscopy amines. Azaconazole is also found in n-dimethyl formamide and can be analyzed using gravimetric analysis or fluorescence probe methods.
Azaconazole has been shown to have an analytical method, which includes sample preparation prior to analysis by FTIR spectroscopy.
