Descrizione:Pifithrin-² is a linker enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADPH to an electron acceptor, such as oxygen. Pifithrin-2 has been shown to be active against imidazole resistant organisms, including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Pifithrin-2 also has been shown to have high activity against eukaryotic organisms and can be used for the treatment of diseases caused by these organisms. The reaction rate of pifithrin-2 depends on its proximity to the substrate binding site and kinetic analysis shows that it binds with high affinity.
