Descrizione:3-tert-Butylphenylboronic acid (3TBBA) is an antibacterial agent that is used to treat bacterial infections. 3TBBA has been shown to be effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and other bacteria. The mechanism of action of this drug is not well understood, but it may involve the inhibition of DNA synthesis. 3TBBA binds with high affinity to the enzyme RNA polymerase in the bacterial ribosome and inhibits its activity, leading to cell death by inhibiting protein synthesis. 3TBBA also has optical properties that can be seen using absorption spectroscopy and ultrafast spectroscopy methods.
