• Descrizione: Bicalutamide-d4 is a monocarboxylic acid that is a competitive inhibitor of androgens. It binds to the cytosolic receptor and blocks the action of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Bicalutamide-d4 has been shown to be effective in reducing prostate cancer tumour growth, but not in treating prostate cancer. This drug is non-steroidal and acts as an antagonist of androgen receptors. Bicalutamide-d4 has been shown to induce the production of monocarboxylic acid metabolites such as sulfone and amide, which have anti-inflammatory effects on tissues.
