Descrizione:Guaiacin is a natural compound found in the bark of Guaiacum officinale. It has antioxidative properties and has shown to inhibit the production of cytokines, such as TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8. Guaiacin also inhibits the production of nitric oxide by macrophages and the activation of NF-κB signaling. This natural compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in vitro by inhibiting the release of proinflammatory chemicals from cells. Guaiacin is also able to reduce dry weight in vitro by inhibiting lipid accumulation in adipocytes.
