Descrizione

2-Chloro-3-(hydroxymethylene)cyclohex-1-enecarbaldehyde is a factor receptor inhibitor that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. This compound has been shown to inhibit epidermal growth factor (EGF) and tumor cell proliferation in vitro by hydrogen bonding with the active site of the EGF receptor. It also inhibits tumor growth in vivo by targeting the EGF receptor. 2-Chloro-3-(hydroxymethylene)cyclohex-1-enecarbaldehyde has also been shown to inhibit breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer cell lines in vitro.
