Descrizione:Methyl cis,cis-11,14-eicosadienoate is a polyunsaturated fatty acid that is found in all cells of the body. It is an important constituent of phospholipids and cell membranes. Methyl cis,cis-11,14-eicosadienoate has been shown to have antioxidative activity in vitro and has been linked to cardiovascular disease and oxidative injury. Methyl cis,cis-11,14-eicosadienoate has also been shown to be diagnostic for the presence of fatty acids in erythrocyte membranes. This molecule can be isolated by lipase digestion of heart tissue or sequenced using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.
