Descrizione:PNU-282987 is an acetylcholine receptor agonist that binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. It has been shown to have a neuroprotective effect on rat hippocampal neurons and has been found to be an effective treatment for injuries caused by nicotine. PNU-282987 also binds to the α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which is found in high concentrations in the anterior cingulate cortex. Low doses of PNU-282987 have been shown to produce no significant changes in DNA binding activity.
