Descrizione:4-Hydroxy ketorolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that belongs to the class of phenylacetic acid derivatives. Its mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it has been shown that 4-hydroxy ketorolac protects against inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. This drug has a high degree of analgesic and antipyretic activity and is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain. It is also used for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, fever, and as an adjunct in surgical procedures. 4-Hydroxyd ketorolac is metabolized through oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes or conjugation with glucuronic acid.
