Descrizione

Methionine sulfone is a high quality, versatile building block that is useful in the synthesis of complex compounds and fine chemicals. Methionine sulfone has been found to be a useful intermediate in the synthesis of reagents and speciality chemicals, as well as being a useful scaffold for synthesizing new chemical entities. It has also been used to prepare fluoroquinolones, which are potent antibacterial agents. Methionine sulfone can be used as a reaction component in organic synthesis because it can react with carboxylic acids to form esters or amides. Methionine sulfone is soluble in water and its melting point ranges from 58-62°C.
