2-Amino-1,3-bis(1,6-anhydro-2,3-O-isopropylidene-b-D-mannopyranose-4-O-yl)-propane is a carbohydrate with the molecular formula C10H20N2O8. It is a synthetic sugar that is soluble in water and alcohol. 2AAP can be custom synthesized by modification of natural sugars and saccharides. This product has a high purity level (>99%) and can be methylated or glycosylated to create other products. The synthesis of this product is accomplished through click chemistry. Click chemistry uses copper (II) sulfate as an oxidizing agent to generate reactive oxygen species that can react with other molecules to form new bonds between them.
