Descrizione:Alpha-Hydroxyalprazolam is a metabolite of the benzodiazepine triazolam and is used as a research tool in chromatographic methods for the separation of drugs. Alpha-hydroxyalprazolam can be detected in urine samples by gas chromatography with chemical ionization. It has a high affinity for plasma proteins, which may lead to false positive results. Alpha-hydroxyalprazolam also binds to benzodiazepine receptors and has been shown to have an antidepressant effect similar to lorazepam, although it is not as potent.
