Trans-2-undecen-1-ol is a phthalic acid ester that is used as an herbal therapy. It has been shown to have deodorizing properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit bacterial growth by disrupting the cellular organelles of odorous bacteria. Trans-2-undecen-1-ol has also been shown to have antibacterial and antifungal properties when it is applied topically or orally.
