Descrizione

Bacampicillin hydrochloride is a prodrug of ampicillin. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. Bacampicillin hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit transcriptional regulation in bacteria, which may be due to its ability to bind with RNA polymerase and inhibit transcription. The drug also has an allergic effect on the human body that can be treated with antihistamines or corticosteroids.
