Clemastanin B is a natural product that belongs to the group of antiviral agents. It has been shown to inhibit the replication of avian influenza, syncytial influenza, and herpes simplex virus. Clemastanin B has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of human liver cancer cells in vitro. The antiviral activity against these viruses may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis and cell division.
Clemastanin B has been used in traditional Chinese medicine preparations for a number of conditions such as infectious diseases and pharmaceutical dosage.br>
The LC-MS/MS method was used for identification and quantification of Clemastanin B from samples taken from the stomachs of cows with diarrhea.
