Descrizione:S 38093 is a ligand for the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. It has been shown to have memory-enhancing effects in animals, as well as analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. S 38093 has been shown to decrease the production of inflammatory cytokines in animal models of chronic pain and inflammation. This drug also increases the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and growth factors such as nerve growth factor (NGF). These effects are thought to be due to its action on cholinergic receptors and activation of the sympathetic nervous system.
