Descrizione:Propofol-b-D-glucuronide is an inactive form of propofol that is metabolized by the liver to the active form. It is excreted in urine as its glucuronide conjugate. Propofol-b-D-glucuronide is used to help maintain a patient's anesthesia during surgery and has been shown to be effective in women, although it may cause drug interactions with other drugs. This drug also has a matrix effect on analytical methods, which means that the results are affected by the chemical composition of the sample preparation. The hydrolysis of propofol-b-D-glucuronide can be monitored using preparative high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
