Descrizione

Phillyrin is a natural product that inhibits the activity of P-glycoprotein. It has been shown to inhibit cellular physiology, such as enzyme activities and mitochondrial membrane potential. The matrix effect of Phillyrin on cell cultures was found to be due to an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane and an increase in the intracellular ATP content. Phillyrin has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and inhibit angiogenesis, which may be due to its inhibition of protein synthesis.
