Syringaresinol-di-O-glucoside is a flavonoid that has been shown to have anti-tumor effects. It has been found to be beneficial for the treatment of bone cancer. Syringaresinol-di-O-glucoside is metabolized through glucuronidation, which may be due to its ability to inhibit mucin gene expression and increase protocatechuic acid levels. This compound has also been shown to have cytotoxic effects in cultured cells by inducing apoptosis and cell death. Syringaresinol-di-O-glucoside is also a potent inhibitor of liver microsomes, suggesting that it may inhibit the metabolic response.
