Descrizione:Penbutolol sulfate is a beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist that has been used to treat drug reactions. It has been shown to inhibit the virus-induced release of human immunoglobulin E (IgE) and histamine in v79 cells. Penbutolol sulfate can be used to enhance the amount of drugs that are extracted from blood plasma or tissue samples, which is useful for drug analysis by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It may also be used as a matrix effect enhancer in clinical trials and as an anti-inflammatory agent. This drug is excreted primarily through the kidney and its rate of elimination depends on renal function.
