Descrizione:3-Deaza-3'-O-methyluridine is a modified nucleoside that is synthesized by the substitution of the oxygen atom at the 3'-position with a methyl group. This modification prevents incorporation into DNA and RNA, which makes it an excellent antiviral and anticancer agent. The compound has been shown to be cytotoxic against human cancer cells in vitro, but has not been tested in vivo. 3-Deaza-3'-O-methyluridine can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of novel phosphoramidites and other modified nucleosides.
