Descrizione

2',3'-Di-O-acetyladenoside is a biochemical that has been shown to inhibit the replication of influenza virus in vitro. It also inhibits the growth of virus in infected cells and prevents the formation of viral particles. 2',3'-Di-O-acetyladenoside binds to the viral RNA polymerase, thereby inhibiting transcription and replication. The drug can be synthesized from triacetin, which is found naturally in submandibular glands, and diacetate, which is found in acetylsalicylic acid. In addition, 2',3'-di-O-acetyladenoside has been shown to have no effect on phagocytic cells such as neutrophils or macrophages.
