Heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)cyclomaltoheptaose is a chiral molecule that has been isolated from human urine. It is an analytical chemistry reagent and can be used as a reference material in the analysis of fatty acids. This compound has been found to exhibit anti-inflammatory activity when tested on heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. Heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)cyclomaltoheptaose also exhibits antioxidant activity and may have potential chemotherapeutic properties.
